Every year there is a very special exhibit at the Milwaukee Art Museum where florists/flower arrangers are given a piece of art to create a floral arrangement for after which the two are displayed together.  Often the flower artists try to match the painting or piece of art exactly, sometimes they are a bit more abstract.

This year the show is from April 16-19, 2026.  It is a short show for the obvious reason that the flowers are perishable and wilt pretty quickly.

There were 30 arrangements included.  Floral artists are listed above.  These are some VERY talented men and women!

We went to see it and found it to be one of the BEST Art in Bloom shows we have ever been to.  Art in Bloom is one of our favorite things at the Milwaukee Art Museum right after the Lakefront Festival of Art on June 12-14, 2026.

Patrons are allowed to vote for their favorite arrangement.  Here are a few of our favorites.  Note – the display of flowers for the Katz Dog painting was bound in the middle with a pink dog collar.  That one made us laugh out loud!
