Bay View Gallery Night
Bay View Gallery Night (BVGN) is a free, self-guided art crawl across dozens of local businesses, bars, studios, and shops in Bay View – Milwaukee’s most happening neighborhood. It started in 2011 and continues to be organized by two champions of art – Jeff Redmon – owner of Scout Gallery and Chuck Watson – cofounder of Made in Milwaukee. Their goal was to create connections between artists and local businesses and to encourage people to spend money on each other within their home community. Over time it has successfully helped increase visibility for Milwaukee artists, drive foot traffic to small businesses and strengthen Bay View’s reputation as an arts-focused neighborhood
BVGN happens twice a year – spring and fall – and will be happening next on May 29, 2026. Hundreds of local artists and musicians will be featured in the many venues that turn this neighborhood into one big distributed gallery from 5-10 pm. A map of the event can be picked up at any of the stops. Start somewhere (how about The Muse?) and keep walking or biking between the many cool spots that are pop-up galleries for that night. You can find the venues on the BVGN website https://bvgn.org/gallery-night-milwaukee/. Bay View Jazz Fest runs alongside it with live jazz performances across various venues.
Of course The Muse Gallery Guesthouse (which in addition to being a licensed bed and breakfast inn is a gallery the whole year round!) will be participating. The art has been curated by Amy Schmutte and currently features the following artists:
